GEWOBA Tätigkeitsbericht

Design-Statement:

2020 was a special year for GEWOBA the largest real estate company in the state of Bremen. The movement of employees, teams and companies made it possible in the year of the shutdowns to carry out daily tasks for broad sections of the population and to act as a contributor to the change in urban society. Movement became the visual narrative for the 2020 activity report. Typography connects and shapes itself, building bridges with people, topics and contexts with intense colored surfaces. The visualization connects the year of special features with liveliness and joy of color to movement.

IDEA:

In Corona times there were many GEWOBA tenants who had to endure loneliness, financial losses or family tensions. As landlord, GEWOBA took care of these fates exceptionally
during this time, and despite many restrictions, pushed ahead with the important and urgent housing development with a variety of projects. Movement despite restrictions was an incentive for countless employees. The report shows the commitment of employees and companies in typography, colors and illustrations.

The movement in the report can be experienced with visual and material possibilities. Typography blends together, blurs or takes on new forms via flaps and pull-out pages. Colored areas connect the contents in flowing forms and radiate a secure activity.

The corporate image is given a lasting impression through target group-specific communication. Important multipliers pay increased attention to the content thanks to the special presentation. The publication focuses on the relevant and acts as a curator in the flood of information. Readers will find a comprehensive view of the company and a lot of content important to decisions and evaluations in this focused report.

Unusual illustrations, a Corona-inspired “screen shoot” by employees via videophone and many typographical ideas create a new look, that when put together, meets a high aesthetic quality at the high level of a socially responsible company. Relevance, attitude, commitment and impact get a stage on which entertaining elements and in-depth information meet the diverse information needs.
